How to Clean Instant Pot Lids

Next up, remove the sealing ring by pealing it away from behind the sealing ring rack. Just a quick note here, it is good to practice to change your sealing ring every 12-18 months and also use different rings for sweet and savory dishes.
Step 3:
Once the sealing ring is removed, you can now remove the anti-block shield. This is the last small component that needs to be removed.
Once everything is separated, place the small parts into a dishwasher safe bag and the larger parts, including the lid, into the dishwasher.
Step 4:
Once they are cleaned, make sure that they are dry then put the small parts back onto the lid.
It’ one thing taking the lid apart and quite another, putting it back together so here’s a step by step on how to put everything back together so it works properly and there are no leaks that could cause potential problems.
To put back the float valve, insert it into the lid opening ensuring that the smaller hole is facing upwards. Once this is done, flip the lid over and insert the silicon cap.
The Final Step:
Next, take the clean and dry sealing ring and place it over the sealing ring rack. Gently press it into place using your fingers.
It should be nicely centered behind the sealing rack and still move freely. Utmost care should be taken when removing and inserting the sealing ring s as to make sure that no damage is done to it which may lead to leaks.
Finally, you need to install the anti-block shield. To do this properly, place it over the prongs and press it down until it clicks into place.
