You’ve heard about the Vitamix, most probably done your research and you now want to know which is the best Vitamix blender.

In this article, I take you through the different Vitamix machines on the market and which one best suits your needs. Though most people refer to Vitamix as a blender, it is much more than that. It is also classified as a food processor which points to a totally different skill set to that of a blender.

Think of a Vitamix as a multi-purpose kitchen utensil designed to give you the best performance for decades to come. The last sentence of the last paragraph might sound like a sales pitch but it’s far from it.

The Vitamix really does last decades. It’s not uncommon to hear of a Vitamix lasting 20, 30 or even 40 years. Users of the Vitamix have actually handed it down as a gift to their grandchildren.

It has its roots in the healthy living niche and has not deviated from those roots over the years. Users of the Vitamix are generally people who have chosen to adopt a healthy eating lifestyle and the Vitamix is more than capable of delivering that.

You can make a host of juices, smoothies, nut butter, soups and much more using this versatile and durable machine. So, the question now is, which is the best Vitamix blender?

I think the right question to ask would be which is the best Vitamix blender for me. This is mainly due to the fact that individual needs vary.

Another variant is the number of people that a particular Vitamix serves. This will help determine which particular model to go for.

Other considerations are price and functionality. The rest of this article, I will give you a buyer’s guide to help you pick up the best Vitamix for you.

Here are the Top Vitamix Blenders:

1. Vitamix E310

[amazon box=”B0758JHZM3″]

This is on of the most affordable Vitamix on the market but let that not fool you. It is just as durable and can do almost as much as other Vitamix models.

The E310 has a basic on/off button, speed dial ranging from 1 to 10 and a pulse button. It is relatively small and lightweight so it won’t take up a lot of space on your kitchen counter.

One of the disadvantages of the E310 is that you only get 2 color choices of red and black. If you want that nice stainless-steel finish, you, unfortunately, won’t get that with this model. It is also not digital and comes with a 2HP motor.

2. Vitamix S30

[amazon box=”B00JS8S2IC”]

The S30 is the smallest Vitamix on the market and comes with 2 containers. The first is a 40-ounce blending container and the second is a 20-ounce one which converts into a travel cup with a cap so you can make your smoothies go.

The S30 can be thought of as a personal blender as is quite ideal for single person use. The size makes it really easy to store away if you have space constraints.

Just like the E310, the S30 only comes in black and red colors and because of its size, it does not pair with other larger containers in the Vitamix range.

It is not ideal for preparing muffins and other baked items which need a larger container to mix in. This is definitely not ideal if you have a large family or are preparing food for a large group of people.

3. The Vitamix 780

[amazon box=”B016S70TFE”]

The 780 comes with a great design and unlike the other 2 models we’ve covered so far, it comes with a touch screen. It is easy to use and clean plus has the added advantage of having a 2.2 HP motor.

Even though it has a large motor, it is very quiet. It is one of the quieter Vitamix models which is great for situations where you have small children napping close by and want to keep the noise down.

It comes with 5 pre-programs so you can just set and forget. Some of the cons though are that it is not wireless and does not pair with self-detect containers as some of the higher-end Vitamix models. It also only comes in red and black colors.

4. Vitamix A3500

[amazon box=”B075713NNL”]

The A3500 is one of the top range Vitamix models on the market. It is future proof as it offers wireless and Bluetooth capability as well as connectivity with all the self-detect containers.

It comes with a touch screen and knob marrying both the old and new by offering seamless control. It automatically detects the size of the container that is attached to it and makes adjustments accordingly.

If for any reason, the container is moved while it’s in the middle of blending, it has a safety feature that will automatically switch the blender off.

It comes with a 2.2 HP motor and just like the 780, it is extremely quiet. You can get the A3500 in six different colors meaning that you can choose a color that matches your kitchen color scheme.

It also comes with 5 pre-programs for that set and forgets functionality. A point to note is that it is one of the heavier blenders in the Vitamix range weighing in at 14.2lbs.

Should you buy a reconditioned Vitamix or a new one?

One of the big questions that Vitamix buyers have is whether or not to buy reconditioned. Ideally, you would want to buy your Vitamix new.

If, however, you are on a tight budget, you can definitely go for a reconditioned unit. The reconditioned units come with a warranty just like the new ones and some users have had their units for 10 or more years and they are alive and kicking right now.

In fact, Vitamix does the reconditioning themselves and the process which they take the machines through is very thorough.

They abide by a very rigid quality control system such that buying a reconditioned Vitamix is just like buying a new one.
